Vinous Neal Martin - 01 Dec 21
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Procès is comparatively stony on the nose, a little more austere on the nose, opening gradually with aeration, a mixture of red and black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a little more sinew on the entry than the Les Poisets, quite sappy towards the finish with a dash of white pepper and clove towards the harmonious finish. Very good persistence here, a wine that is deceptively approachable but it is worth cellaring.

Nuits-Saint-Georges

Nuits-Saint-Georges, a renowned appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is famous for its robust, structured Pinot Noir wines with rich flavours of dark cherries, blackberries, and plums, along with earthy, spicy notes. Known for firm tannins and full-bodied character, these wines are ideal for ageing. Although lacking Grand Cru vineyards, Premier Cru sites like Les Saint-Georges and Les Vaucrains produce exceptional wines. Top producers include Domaine Henri Gouges, Domaine Faiveley, and Domaine Robert Chevillon, all celebrated for showcasing the unique terroir with traditional winemaking.
